Our sessions take place in the woodland at The Ridings, Wickwar Road, Chipping Sodbury BS37 6GA

From the carpark, you can choose to either walk up to the woods via the path on the left of the field (cycle friendly), or the path on the right of the field (walk past the foodball club). Either route takes about the same amount of time. Once you get to the woodland the path continues though the middle, and we are just off the footpath, so you can't miss us!

Yes! Parking is free and in the main Ridings car park, at the entrance to the football club. 

The walk to the woodland is approx 10 minutes along a buggy friendly, flat, gravelled footpath. There will be an area in the woods to park your pushchairs but it won't be undercover so bring a waterproof cover. 

Cycling is very much welcome! the path that leads to the woods (On the left hand side of the field) is cycle friendly. You are welcome to bring your bikes into the woods and there will be an area within the site to leave them (at your own risk).

There are no public toilets on site at The Ridings. The nearest public toilets are at Waitrose.

Once in the woods there will be a private toiletting area for nappy changes and 'wild wees', as well as some disposable potty bags. All nappies, nappy bags, wipes and waste will need to be disposed of in the nearby bins. 

The most important thing is to be prepared for the weather! 

Some suggested clothing for Forest School:

• Waterproof coat and waterproof trousers/salopettes (separates tend to be more versatile for the changes in weather and are a lot more waterproof than many all-in-one puddlesuits.)

• Long sleeve tee shirt

• Long sleeve trousers/leggings (even in summer-bare legs are more susceptible to ticks, insect bites, stings and scratches)

• Fleece/jumper

• Welly boots 

• Sun hat/warm hat

• Gloves for cold weather

Don't forget your own waterproofs too, adults!

Please bring a bottle of water, spare changes of clothes, any medication needed and nappy changing bag if applicable.
